There are some of the items that candidate can not take with themselves while giving the CDS examination. Such items are mobile phones, laptops, tablets, calculators, etc. That is electronic items are not allowed. If any of the candidate found with such items in the exam centre then he or she will not be allowed to sit in the exam.

Candidate should check the internet connection. It should be stable. Latest version of browsers can be used like Google Chrome or Mozilla Firefox. Clean the catche and try to download the admit card. If still problem occurs, contact the UPSC for support.

The SSB Interview is a selection process of around five days which is designed to assess the candidates' mental and physical fitness, leadership qualities, the ability to work under pressure and overall personality. It includes a series of tests, including the screening test, Psychological Test, Group Testing Officer (GTO) tasks, Personal Interview, and the Conference. It is important to improve vocabulary and understand the usage of grammar for the CDS exam English section. Candidates can check here some of the books that can help in the preparation-"Word Power Made Easy" by Norman Lewis, Wren & Martin's High School English Grammar & Com, etc.

No. The CDS 2026 answer key will not be the same for all the subjects. The separate answer keys will be released for each subject. Candidates need to download it via matching their question paper set to calculate their scores.

The CDS 1 2026 answer key will be released by the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) on its official website a few days or a couple of weeks after the exam is over. Several coaching institutes may also release the unofficial CDS answer keys shortly after the conduction of an exam.

The duration of each subject paper in the CDS 2026 exam is mentioned below.
1. For Admission to Indian Military Academy, Indian Naval Academy, and Air Force Academy: English, General Knowledge and Mathematics all have two hours duration.
2. For Officers' Training Academy (OTA)-English and GK for both separately 2 hours duration

In CDS, written exam comprises three papers namely English, General Knowledge and Elementary Mathematics aiming for Indian Military Academy (IMA), Indian Naval Academy (INA) and Air Force Academy (AFA). There are two papers for candidates aiming for the Officers Training academy (OTA).
For IMA, INA, AFA: English, General Knowledge and Elementary Mathematics
For OTA: English and General Knowledge
