If you're born on Jan 15, 2000, you can apply for CDS 2026 — but only for OTA (Officers' Training Academy). You'll be 26 by then, and OTA allows candidates born between Jan 2, 2000 and Jan 1, 2006. So you're just within range. But yeah, for IMA, INA, and AFA, you're slightly over the age bar — they usually want you under 24. TL;DR: OTA's your only shot in 2026.

If you fail in CDS written exam second time, then nothing serious happens because there's no limit to attempts as long as you meet the age and eligibility criteria.
