No. The CDS 2026 answer key will not be the same for all the subjects. The separate answer keys will be released for each subject. Candidates need to download it via matching their question paper set to calculate their scores.

The CDS 1 2026 answer key will be released by the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) on its official website a few days or a couple of weeks after the exam is over. Several coaching institutes may also release the unofficial CDS answer keys shortly after the conduction of an exam.

The duration of each subject paper in the CDS 2026 exam is mentioned below.

1. For Admission to Indian Military Academy, Indian Naval Academy, and Air Force Academy: English, General Knowledge and Mathematics all have two hours duration.

2. For Officers' Training Academy (OTA)-English and GK for both separately 2 hours duration

In CDS, written exam comprises three papers namely English, General Knowledge and Elementary Mathematics aiming for Indian Military Academy (IMA), Indian Naval Academy (INA) and Air Force Academy (AFA). There are two papers for candidates aiming for the Officers Training academy (OTA).
For IMA, INA, AFA: English, General Knowledge and Elementary Mathematics
For OTA: English and General Knowledge

The UPSC will release the CDS 2026 admit card at upsc.gov.in. The CDS 1 exam is scheduled to be conducted on April 12, 2026 and CDS 2 on September 13.

The CDS 2026 exam dates were released by the authority. In the last month of the preparation, candidates should focus more on revision of all the important topics. Give test regulary. Revise and update yourself with current affairs. Maintain physical and mental health. Take proper sleep. Revise and practice previous year question papers. Also, focus on time management, etc.

The eligibility criteria for CDS exam is you must have to be graduate in any stream or in last year of graduation. Aspirants should study about General knowledge, English and Maths and try to improve their confidence and communication skills. The interview process known as SSB will take 5 days.

The UPSC conducts the National-level Combined Defence Services (CDS) exam to choose candidates who wish to join the Indian Military Academy (IMA) and Indian Naval Academy (INA) and Air Force Academy (AFA). The CDS I 2025 exam has its scheduled date set as April 13, 2025 while the CDS II 2025 takes place once every year. The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) organizes the Combined Defence Services (CDS) Examination as two annual sessions. The CDS examination application fee amounts to INR 200 for General and OBC male applicants yet female candidates along with SC and ST candidates are never required to pay any fee.
