CENTAC will announce the dates for institute reporting separately for each round. In general, the institute reporting process is conducted for three to four days for each round. Candidates will have to check the important dates carefully and report to the institutes within the deadline. In certain cases, the last date of reporting to the institutes is extended. Yes, after the declaration of the CENTAC NEET counselling seat allotment result, candidates will be given the option to upgrade the seat choice. Based on that, the counselling authorities will upgrade the seats based on the choices entered by candidates, in case the desired seat is vacant after the institute reporting process is concluded. Candidates must note that the seat upgradation facility will be available till the second last round only, after which, the counselling process will be concluded. 

No, candidates have to register online to participate in the CENTAC NEET counselling process. The counselling process including the registration, choice filling and locking, as well as the seat allotment result will be declared on the official website of the exam. However, the final step, which is the document verification and the admission fee payment process will be conducted in an offline manner, where candidates will have to visit the institutes for the verification and admission process. 

No, NEET scores are not required for the BSc Nursing course admission through CENTAC counselling. Courses such as BSc Nursing and other paramedical courses are clubbed under the UG Non-NEET category of admission. The admission takes place on the basis of candidates' Class 12 Board exam scores and other admission criteria laid down by CENTAC. 

Yes, CENTAC follows vertical reservation system for the Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST) and Other Backward Classes (OBC) for the MBBS admission process. The percentage of reservation is given in the below table. 

Yes, it is possible for medical aspirants to participate in the CENTAC NEET counselling process, in case they belong to any other state or Union Territory apart from Puducherry. In that case, they should apply through the Management Quota. They must also ensure that they do not participate in the CENTAC MBBS admission in case they are already allotted a seat at the national level or any other state level counselling. 

According to the seat matrix released for the CENTAC NEET UG counselling last year, the total number of MBBS seats offered were 1,830. On the other hand, the total number of BDS seats offered was 200. The course-wise intake may change this year. The actual number of seats for CENTAC NEET 2024 counselling will be updated here as and when it will be announced by the counselling authorities through the seat matrix. 

The CENTAC NEET counselling process will be conducted in online mode. The official website of CENTAC is centacpuducherry.in. This is a common website for the admission or counselling process conducted across streams or courses such as Medical, Engineering, Architecture, among others. Candidates willing to participate in the CENTAC MBBS admission or other courses through NEET, will have to visit the official website CENTAC Puducherry and follow the due course of action.

Candidates participating in the CENTAC NEET UG counselling process will have to upload documents such as NEET scorecard, NEET  admit card, category certificates and candidates from Puducherry domicile will have to submit Affidavit for residence, the format of which will be available in CENTAC website. These documents will also have to be carried to the allotted institutes during the reporting and verification rounds in their original format.
