No, there is no negative marking in the CGBSE exams. Students receive one mark for each correct answer for objective-type questions. Hence, the students should attempt all questions confidently. However, students who write the wrong long-type answers will have their marks deducted.

Every year, thousands of students are unable to clear the CGBSE 12th exams. Students who fail still have a chance to improve their scores. They can appear for the supplementary (re-exam) conducted by CGBSE for the subjects they failed in. If a student feels their marks are unexpectedly low, they can also apply for re-evaluation or rechecking of their answer sheets.

In case any student finds a mistake on his/her CGBSE 10th result scorecard, he/she must immediately contact their school authority and report the issue. Candidates who are not satisfied with their marks can also apply for scrutiny.
