A student must have secured at least 50% of the possible marks in all subjects and must have passed the compulsory 10+2 courses in mathematics and physics  to gain direct entry. The approximate cutoffs for  general category should be 95%, for OBC category the cut off should be 90% and for SC/ST category the cut off should be 85%.   Minimum cut off marks are available for admission in TNPCEE. The cut offs for  OBC, General and SC/ST categories should be approximately 170-180, 180-190 and 160-170 respectively.
