Students who want to study at the B.E./B.Tech programs at CTKEC must have achieved 10+2 level education with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as their principal subjects. The Tamil Nadu Engineering Admissions (TNEA) counseling serves as the fundamental basis for the selection process by evaluating qualifying examination results. The college does not organize a separate entrance examination for student admission.

To be eligible for the BTech course offered by DMI Engineering College, students must have passed Class 12 or equivalent with PCM subjects from a recognised board with a minimum aggregate of 50%.
