Most reputable universities usually require mathematics proficiency in the 12th grade in order to be eligible for a BA Honors in Economics. An undergraduate degree in economics requires a basic understanding of mathematics, even though some universities may offer non-credit courses in calculus, statistics, and basic mathematics. Consequently, you might still be able to apply to some universities for a BA Honors in Economics if you did not write math in your CUET but did take math in your 12th grade. However, it is generally advised to have a background in mathematics for a more seamless academic experience.
