There won't be a penalty for attempting only 2 out of your chosen 3 domain subjects in CUET as long as you follow the exam guidelines. Here's why:

  • No Negative Marking for Unattempted Questions: CUET has a negative marking scheme where one mark is deducted for every wrong answer. But there's no penalty for leaving questions unanswered.
  • Choice in Attempting Questions: You can strategically choose which 2 domain subjects to attempt based on your strengths and preparedness for each subject.

The CUET registration fee varies based on subjects chosen, category, and exam center location. It typically ranges from 700 to 4500 (2024). Check the official NTA website for the latest fee structure. The application window for 2024 is likely closed now, but this information will be helpful for next year.

It's good you are waiting for cuet admission but I would recommend you to shortlist your dream college and apply for the course as soon as admission starts because for the commerce course, cuet score doesn't matter at that level. The results will take time and till then most admissions will be closed. So start applying for the college you wish to study in.
