The Union Public Service Commission conducted the UPSC CSE (IAS) 2025 exam on May 25, 2025 at the designated exam centres across the nation in the offline mode. The candidates should note that the UPSC admit card 2025 was released on 13 May 2025.
The candidates should keep visiting Shiksha.com to get the latest update about the UPSC admit card or they should keep visiting the official website to check the availability of UPSC hall ticket.

The candidates should note that the Union Public Service Commission released the Civil Service Exam (IAS) main admit card 2025 on its official website - upsc.gov.in under the admit card tab. The candidates are required to login with their UPSC One-Time Registration (OTR) number and password to download the UPSC admit card.
The UPSC CSE (IAS) 2025 (main) exam will start on August 22, 2025.

The candidates should note that the UPSC IAS Main exam is a descriptive exam, where they need to write the essay type conventional answers in the Question-Cum Answer Sheet. 7 minutes, using 5 key points, and elaborating each point from 3 dimensions is the full description of 7/5/3 rule.

No, the Union Public Service Commission is a Constitutional body and the candidates should note that the duty to conduct the UPSC exams lies on the state administration. The District Magistrate remain at the helm of affairs for the IAS prelims exam. The candidates should note that UPSC releases its exam calendar one year ahead of the exam. The UPSC exam does not get postpone unless aa national catastrophe.

To become a civil service officer, you have to follow the following procedure:
1) Complete your 10+2 and graduation level education with minimum 55-60% marks
2) Prepare for UPSC CSE with in your general graduation time frame.
3) Appear for UPSC CSE which is a 3 stage process and every stage is eleminating one .
4) After clearing the exam, you will go through 1 year of hard training and then will be appointed as civil service officer.

While appearing for UPSC IAS prelims, you should ideally start from reading the syllabus of prelims and mains. Read NCERT for subjects like History, Geography and Economics to lay a good foundation. Reading The Hindu newspaper and Yojana magazine regularly make you stay aware to the current affairs. Refer M.Laxmikanth for Polity, and GC Leong for Geography. Practice writing answers regularly and focus on repetitive revision. Work hard and be consistent in your study/preparation. Suti.

Several universities in Bangalore offer BA with integrated coaching for the IAS and IPS exam preparation. Among them, the Universal Group of Institutions is offering a BA with integrated IAS coaching so that the students can prepare for civil services while doing their degree. The Union Public Service Commission released the UPSC IAS 2024 interview schedule on its official website - upsc.gov.in on December 20, 2024. The Commission selected 2,845 candidates to appear in the UPSC IAS interviews. The Commission will conudct the IAS interviews from January 7, 2025 to April 17, 2025.
The Commission is expected to release the UPSC IAS result 2024 in the last week of April 2025.
