Hi Divya,
No technology will be "thrown away" with the introduction of cloud computing.
Cloud computing will never be the only way to build infrastructure. The biggest reason is that for the most high performance demanding problems bare metal hardware is always better than virtualized hardware.

Hi Ruby,
Mentioned below are some of the challenges :
1. Multi-tenancy - makes it easier for a hacker to to steal the data of all business customers who share the same cloud database.
2. Threats of data loss and data leakage -the threat of data leakage increases when employees use their mobile devices to access and share corporate documents via cloud storage services such as DropBox, Box etc.,
3. Insecure APIs - Most Cloud service providers do not pay attention to the security of their APIs which can pose risks to an enterprise data with regards to privacy and data integrity.

Hi Ruby,
No, cloud computing is not killing the IT support jobs, its only changing the way things are being managed , instead of managing servers one-by-one manually, admins now have to learn how to configure and customize DevOps software like Chef, Puppet, Ansible, Salt Stack, Capistrano, Nagios, Cacti, New Relic etc
