Dear Tanisha,

For the Maharashtra Common Entrance Test (MHT-CET), you can choose between two groups:

  1. PCM Group: Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics.
  2. PCB Group: Physics, Chemistry, and Biology.

You can select either group based on your academic background and the courses you wish to pursue. For example, if you're interested in engineering courses, the PCM group is appropriate. For medical or pharmacy courses, the PCB group is suitable. Ensure you meet the eligibility criteria for the chosen group

Yes, if you want to take admission in PU then it is mandatory but if you want to take admission in private colleges, then mostly you can get admission by just filling an admission form.

For the MH CET Law 5-year program, the grouping criteria include:

  1. Reservation Policy:

    • 85% seats for Maharashtra State (MS) candidates.
    • 10% seats for All India candidates.
    • 5% seats for NRI, OCI, PIO, and foreign candidates.
    • Further reservations within MS quota for PwD (5%), EWS (10%), Orphan (1%), and 30% for females.
  2. Eligibility:

    • General/Open Category: Minimum 45% in 10+2.
    • Reserved Categories (SC/ST/OBC): Minimum 40% in 10+2.

These reservations ensure equitable opportunities for students from different categories.

Thus, to be able to gain admission into an undergraduate programme in Mumbai, interested candidate have to sit for Common entrance test –CET and Central Universities entrance test-CUET to apply for BA in Psychology. First, make sure that the colleges you're applying in meet certain qualifications that expect you to have completed your 10+2 pass certificate not below 45-50% mark.
