The QS World University Ranking 2024 lists Anna University at position 426. According to NIRF 2023, it is now rated 14 among the best universities in India. Engineering programs at Anna University's College of Engineering Guindy campus are well-known. According to NIRF 2023, CEG Guindy is rated 13 among engineering colleges. The average package awarded to graduates from the College of Engineering campus increased by almost 13% in 2022 compared to 2021.

Both colleges are affiliated with Anna University. According to the PSG College of Technology placement drive 2022, the median package during PSG College of Technology placement 2022 ranged between INR 6 lakh and INR 6.5 lakh as per NIRF 2023 rankings. The average package offered during CEG Guindy placements 2022 stood at INR 6.93 LPA.

College of Engineering, Guindy (CEG), is one of the best Engineering colleges in the country. The college is affiliated with Anna University. According to the NIRF 2023 Ranking, it has 13 among the top Engineering institutes in India. College of Engineering offers various BTech and MTech courses under different specialisations. The college has a total of 12 departments. Along with these programmes, CEG also provides other Undergraduate, Postgraduate and PhD programmes like BSc, BArch, MBA, MSc and MCA.
