The selection method for the B.E./B.Tech courses at Padmabhushan Vasantdada Patil Pratishthan College of Engineering (PVPPCOE) is primarily merit based, via MHT-CET or JEE Main scores. A candidate must have completed their 10+2 qualification with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as his/her major subjects.
MHT-CET : On the basis of the score obtained in the MHT-CET conducted by the Maharashtra State Government.
JEE Main: Admission can also be through the scores obtained in the admission test, JEE Main.

A minimum of fifty-five per cent of marks in a B.E./B.Tech (Chemical Engg./Leather Technology/Bio-Tech./Industrial Bio-Tech./Bio-Chemical Engg./Bio-Informatics) or B.Pharm. Or M.Sc.(Ag.)/M.V.Sc./M.Sc. In any discipline of Life Sciences is needed for admission to the M.Tech. Bio-Technology application.
A GATE or PGECET scorecard is needed for admission to KL University's M.Tech application. For others, the university administers a front exam, with admission based on the merit rank of certified candidates.
