Symbiosis Law College is ranked 1 by NIRF in 2025 in the private Law college category and it has better placement records in the past 2 years when compared to Ramaiah College of Law which has been ranked 18. Thus, it can be said that it is a better law college.

The eligibility criteria for admission in BA LLB at Ramaiah College of Law and BHU is the same. But BHU offers a smaller number of seats for the programme (74) than Ramaiah College of Law (120). Also, the entrance test to get a BA LLB seat at BHU is CUET. CUET is nation-wide test that is taken by a much larger of students each year compared to the RCL Admission Test that is conducted by Ramaiah College as an entrance test. Thus, it is more difficult to get a BA LLB seat at BHU than at Ramaiah College of Law.

The total tuition fee for BA LLB at Symbiosis College of Law (INR 25-26 lakh) is around 3 times the fee at MS Ramaiah College of Law (INR 8-11 lakh). Thus, BA LLB at MS Ramaiah College of Law is much more economical.

Candidates with a high score in CLAT may be preferred for selection in BA LLB at Ramaiah College of Law. But if you qualify the eligibility criteria and clear all the rounds of the selection process, you may get a seat at Ramaiah College of Law without appearing for CLAT.

MS Ramaiah College of Law does not have seats reserved for women in BA LLB program. It allocates seats on a merit basis. The college shall inform of any changes in its seat allocation policy on its official website.

There are limited number of seats being offered for admission in the BA LLB programme at Ramaiah College of Law. But if you perform well in your Class 12 exams and score well in the RCL Admission Test and Personal Interview, you may secure a seat at the college. It is easier to get admission in this college compared to the top ranked law colleges such as NLSIU, Bengaluru and NLU, Delhi.

Yes, you can register for admission in BA LLB programme at Ramaiah College of Law even if the result of your class 12 exams is not out. But your admission is provisional and subject to the aggregate score of your Class 12 exams. This means that you have to get the minimum aggregate in your Class 12 exams according to the eligibility criteria as stated by the college policy.

According its 2025-2026 admission policy, MS Ramaiah College of Law gave a concession of 5% on the BA LLB fees to SC/ST students from Karnataka. This concession was given for the first year fees only. This concession was not carried forward for the rest of 4 years of the programme for the same student. This policy is subject to change.

The MS Ramaiah College of Law BA LLB fee is paid annually at the beginning of each academic year for the next two semesters. Therefore, there are 5 installments of the total tuition fee that need to be paid during the total duration of the program. The first installment before the start of the first academic year is combined with the admission fee.

BA LLB is an integrated course. Therefore, the BA LLB curriculum at MS Ramaiah College of Law includes a few papers on subjects of Arts such as Political Science and Economics. Examples of such papers on General English and Theoretical Perspectives in Sociology.
