Amrita University conducts its own entrance exam for which you have to appear and clear it with a good score to secure admission. They don't accept JEE scores for admission. However, you need to have a sufficient score in board exams.

JoSAA is only for government colleges and not private colleges. You have to apply for private engineering colleges separately. Many of the private colleges accept admission on the basis of JEE Mains but you have to apply separately.

The counselling for all IITs, NITs, IIITs and government. Funded institutes (under josaa) will start a week after the JEE Advanced result is declared.
