Overall MERC Institute of Management is good, faculty members are excellent but placements were poor, college management is good building and campus is below average. It is run by the management of sinhagad institute therefore all the faculty members are from that institute. Lexicon Management Institute of Leadership and Excellence has one of the best placement rates in the education industry and its faculty comprises Iims, IIT's & Foreign faculty members.

Pillai's Institute of Management Studies and Research started with the MS course having just 30 students in 1998 and grew to 120 seats by 2006. In 2007, the PGDM courses were launched and now the institute has grown phenomenally to 720 students. The institute now has earned name and popularity in Maharashtra. Lexicon Management Institute of Leadership and Excellence on the other hand was established in 2009. The total number of students in the Lexicon Group of Institutions is more than 10,000. IIM uses a special formula to shortlist candidate for IIM call. The formula is based on CAT score, 10th,12th, graduation. Final Shortlisitng depend on GD/PI, achievements & overall score. You are academic are not that high but decent enough. Also you can get call from newly opened Iims. You can also try top 25 b school based on high CAT score. Try to get high CAT score, do relevant value added courses. Also there high value low fees b school which are equally good as IIM. These are JBIMS, FMS, KJ Somaiya, DMS University of Hyderabad, DMS IIT, UBS Punjab.

IIM uses a special formula to shortlist candidate based on CATscore, 10th, 12th & graduation marks. Your academic record is decent to get shortlisted for IIM A, B, C, L & I. CAT cutt off trend for last few year for IIM A is around 99%. The same score is needed for FMS & PUMBA. Also you can try to make your profile stronger by doing relevant value added courses, extra curricular achievement.
