Hi Akshay,
Both the institutes mentioned by you are equally good and thus it will be very difficult to tell which one will be the best option. However, we can help you with the parameters that you can keep in mind while choosing an institute among them. You can consider the below parameters :
1) Faculty,
2) Affiliation / Recognition
3) Course Material,
4) Quality Education,
5) Fees
6) Infrastructure
7) Success Rate.
8) Placement
9) Top recruiting companies.
Also, if possible go through the alumni speak section to get an idea what the alumni thinks about the institute.
Hope this information helps. Please feel free to revert.
Wish you luck.

The cutoff for class 12th marks is 50%, but there is a continuous scale and you will be almost at the bottom of the list. Hence to make up for that, you will need to score more than 99.7 percentile in CAT.

Your friend have to wait until ACPC publishes vacant seats info of each colleges. Then at the end of regular admission process, ACPC gives permission to colleges to fill in vacant seats without CMAT. At that time you may apply for MBA without CMAT.
Keeping reading newspapers and visit acpc website for regular updates.

Parth, the tests conducted by the universities for admission to UG and PG courses are based on the same pattern/ format as national level tests (JEE, GATE, etc)meant for admission to UG and PG courses. Prepare for NIRMA university's test the way you prepare for national level tests.
In case you are not able to clear it, you can apply in other private universities where direct admission is possible or there are other universities too conducting their own test.
