Sant Gadge Baba Amravati University (SGBAU) was established in1983 whereas Dr. Panjabrao Deshmukh Krishi Vidyapeeth (PDKV) was established in 1969. Both the colleges are public institution and fall in Maharashtra state with PDKV offering more than 70 courses including the traditional courses plus certificate courses and SGBAU offering 50 plus courses. However, SGBAU is quite famous for its MBA/ PGDM courses and BE/ B.Tech courses while PDKV is most famous for its agriculture related courses as it was initially established as an agriculture college.
