No, You can get direct admission to University College of Engineering, Narasaraopet, Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, Kakinada. It is totally based on Andhra Pradesh EAMCET (or EAPCET/EAPCET) exam rank and scores. Admission will be done thorugh a centralised APSCHE counseling. There is no concept of management quota seats and no direct admission is given based on 12th marks.

University College of Engineering, Narasaraopet does not provide on campus accomodation but there are many near by private hostels . They charge around Rs. 50000 annually which includes meals and accomodation so you can search for more affordable hostels nearby.

University College of Engineering, Narasaraopet, Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, Kakinada is a good if you want a cost effective education with a good campus life and excellent academics. It is a good choice amoong Government institutes if you have less options . Placements and academics are decent here. JNTU is NAAC A+ graded institute.Average package ranges from Rs. 2.5LPA to 3.5LPA.
