The university does not conduct a centralized entrance examination for this program; admissions are typically based on the candidate's performance in the Higher Secondary Examination (12th grade).While specific cutoff percentages for the B.A. Honours in Social Science program at Dibrugarh University are not publicly available, similar programs at other institutions have reported cutoffs ranging from 60% to 70% in the 12th grade. 

Some of the prerequisites include Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry for the lateral-entry entrance exam at Jorhat Engineering College.
