Hi.

Minimum Academic Cutoff (Main Requirement)

  • You need at least 50–60% marks in 12th (PCB/PCM)

  • Subjects required: Physics + Chemistry + Biology/Maths

In practice:

  • 60%+ is commonly expected for safe admission

  • 50% is the basic eligibility, but competition may push it higher

 Expected Cutoff Range (Recent Trends)

  • General category: 70% – 85%

  • OBC: 65% – 80%

  • SC/ST: 50% – 65%

Placement is almost good.

Placement Rate

Around 74–75% students get placed (B.Pharm)

Some students also go for higher studies (M.Pharm, MBA, etc.)

Yes, it is worth pursuing BTech at Chandigarh University as it is the only university in Punjab and the region to get accredited by NBA for its Civil, Electrical, Electronics and Communications, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Chemical Engineering, etc. It has ranked 31 and 32 by the NIRF Rankings 2025 in the 'Engineering' and 'Overall' categories, respectively.

Chandigarh University is a private university and is recognised by the UGC. It has become the only state-private university of Punjab to be accredited by NAAC. It is also a member of ICAR, AUAP, IAU, ACU, IEEE, ASME, IUCEE, and ACS.

To become eligible for Diploma and Certificate programs at Lambton College students will have to submit the following test scores-

  • IELTS Academic- 6.0 overall with no band below 6.0
  • PTE Academic- 60 overall wth no band below 60
  • TOEFL iBT- 78 overall with no band below 18
