Hence, aspirants with 55% in graduation can apply for PGDCA at Sikh National College. Candidates must have relevant documents proving their eligibility for verification purpose.

IIHM Chandigarh offers MSc courses in only one specialisations i.e., Hospitality and Hotel Administration. To get admission into this course, applicants must complete a bachelor's degree or three-year Diploma in Hotel Management courses with at least an aggregate of 55%. Additionally, there is no age bar for applying to MSc at IHM Chandigarh.

IHM Chennai and IHM Chandigarh both accept the scores of NCHMT MSc JEE for admissions to MSc courses. Hence, the admission process is almost similar for both institutions, as the first requirement is that candidates must complete their graduation with an aggregate of 55%; then they must appear for the NCHMT MSc JEE, followed by counselling. Therefore, it is hard to determine which institute is easier to get admission into MSc courses. 

However, applicants can compare the two institutes by their cutoffs from here: IHM Chandigarh cutoff and IHM Chennai cutoff.

Yes, IHM Chandigarh does offer scholarships to MSc students on the basis of their academic achievements, category, financial condition, etc. The scholarships are offered at the beginning of the course, before joining or in between the semesters. Moreover, applicants can also get benefits from the central and state-based scholarships by registering themselves at the National Scholarship Portal.

IHM Chandigarh offers a regular MSc programme in Hospitality Administration (MSc HA) recognised by IGNOU and NCHMCT. The institute extends this programme in a full-time mode. The total tuition fee for the MSc course is INR 1.9 lakh. Additionally, the hostel fee is INR 1.2 lakh. This fee amount is as per the official website/sanctioning body. It is still subject to changes and, hence, is indicative.

Yes, IHM Chandigarh does follow seat reservations for the MSc course. The institute has seats for candidates belonging to reserved categories. As per the NCHMCT guidelines, for admission under these categories, aspirants need to submit the relevant documents. Check out the seat reservation below, fetched from the official website of NCHMCT:

  • 15% for the Scheduled Caste (SC) Category.
  • 7½% for the Scheduled Tribe (ST) Category.
  • 27% for the OBC (Central List) (Non-creamy layer) Category as per the Central List.
  • 10% for the General EWS Category.
  • 5% of seats shall be reserved for the Physically Disabled across the board as per the rules.
