The counselling for PGIMER BSc Nursing and BSc Nursing (Post-Basic) programme is being conducted by the Postgraduate Institute of Medical Education and Research (PGIMER), Chandigarh. Candidates are required to be present for the counselling process and formalities at the pre-mentioned time and location. There will tentatively be four rounds of counselling. The round-1 counselling concluded in August 2025. It is mandatory to present a set of self-attested documents along with the originals for verification on the day of PGIMER nursing counselling.

PGIMER BSc Nursing counselling is expected to begin in August 2026 after the announcement of the results. All the information related to the counselling process is shared at the official website, pgimer.edu.in. Candidates who successfully score the minimum qualifying marks will be shortlisted for the counselling round. All processes, such as document verification and fee payment, will be done at the institute itself by the counselling committee.

In GMCH Chandigarh - Government Medical College and Hospital, 59 students were admitted in year 2016-17, out of which 59 graduated in 2018-19. From this, 52 qualified students got placed with a median salary of INR 636000 and 7 students got selected for higher studies.
