Candidates wishing to get admission in How to get admission in Tula's University must pass the last qualifying exam with at least 45% marks (40% for SC/ST candidates) to be eligible for admission. Admission in most of the programmes is merit-based. National/state-level entrance tests (JEE Main for B.Tech; CAT/MAT for MBA) is required for admission.

ICFAI is private university and and have BCI, UGC and NAAC accreditation. University is accepting CLAT/ LSAT/ ILSAT scores for admission in UG law courses. So ICFAI can be preferred over other private universities of Uttrakhand for admission.

Admission to the Uttaranchal University MBA course is entrance-based. The University accepts various national-level entrance exams such as MAT, CAT, CMAT, XAT, UU entrance exam, etc. Candidates who get shortlisted after the entrance exam are then called for the personal interview round.

Uttaranchal University offers 25% seats of the total intake allotted to students of Uttarakhand under the State Quota. Rest of the seats are open to students from All India. In case the allotted percentage of seats of State Quota remains vacant, it will be filled by All India students.
