Today I would like to speak about placement opportunities for B.Sc. Physics (Honours) at Quantum University, Roorkee, from a student's point of view.

The course builds a solid base in classical mechanics, quantum mechanics, electromagnetism, electronics, and mathematical physics, which is very useful for future careers.

In terms of placements, most students from B.Sc. Physics Honours prefer higher studies such as M.Sc. Physics, M.Tech, research programs, or competitive exams like IIT-JAM, CSIR-NET, GATE, and government services. Quantum University supports students by providing career guidance, mentoring, and exam preparation support.

For students who want job opportunities after graduation, the university offers skill-based training, internships, and placement assistance. Some students get placed in roles like lab assistant, technical executive, quality analyst, data support roles, and teaching assistant positions in private organizations, labs, and educational institutions.

Quantum School of Technology, under Quantum University in Roorkee, is considered a solid option for a Bachelor of Computer Applications (BCA), particularly for students seeking industry-aligned curriculum and interdisciplinary learning. 

Key Highlights for 2026

Rankings: It is ranked #101 out of 193 in India by India Today 2025 for Computer Applications.

Curriculum: The program emphasizes modern tech, including AI, Machine Learning, and Cloud Computing. It also offers interdisciplinary minors (e.g., Entrepreneurship, Financial Literacy), allowing students to study subjects outside their core field.

Specializations: Specialized BCA tracks are available in AI & ML, Mobile Application & Web Technology, and Internet of Things (IoT) through collaborations with industry partners like iNurture. 

There are three scholarship schemes that offer BBA students scholarships at Graphic Era Deemed to be University. The first scholarship scheme is a merit-based scheme that offers scholarships based on the scores obtained in Class 12 or CUET.

The remaining two scholarship schemes at Graphic Era Deemed to be University are for special category candidates that are either girls or ward of a defense personnel. 

The former Graphic Era Deemed to be University scholarship scheme offers 10% scholarship of the total tuition fees while the latter scheme offers 5% scholarships to eligible students. All of these scholarships are offered on first-cum first served basis.
