With a NEET score of 223 in the general category, it can prove to be quite difficult to gain admission to a government medical college for BDS in Gujarat. Government medical colleges always have higher cut-off scores in BDS courses, particularly for the general category of students.

Since it has an AIR of 21,636 in NEET, admission to a government medical college in Gujarat on the general quota is not expected, as government college cutoffs for MBBS are generally more. You will have a prospect of admission from state quota in some government colleges, particularly for reserved categories or for other studies like BDS or allied health science. It is better to refer to the cutoff trends of the respective year and also opt for applying through counseling for MBBS as well as other medical courses. Private colleges' management quota seats may also be a consideration.
