Yes, School of Technology PDEU conducts a Written Admission Test for MSc programme. The school conducts WAT in offline mode comprising 50 multiple choice questions of 100 marks. The final selection to MSc programme is based on performance of the candidates in UG final exam, written test and personal interview round. Yes, as there are multiple levels to secure admission in IIT Gandhinagar the admission process can be a bit difficult for aspirants. To secure admission into the programme candidates have to first clear the IIT JAM entrance exam followed by CCMN counselling.
The admission process also has an interview round, which candidates have to clear to secure provisional admission into the programme. Thus, candidates applying for admission in the programme will have to go through a lot of rounds to secure admission into the programme.

No, Candidates cannot get direct admission into IIT Gandhinagar MSc as admissions into the programme take place through the merit secured in the IIT JAM entrance exam. Candidates applying for admission into the programme will have to first appear for IIT JAM and then subsequently appear for CCMN counselling.
The final admission takes place through interviews conducted by the institute at the time of admission. Once candidates have cleared the interview, candidates will have to pay some amount of the tuition fee to confirm their admission.
