If you miss practical exam,  you won't get the passing certificate and would have to appear for the practical exams as private candidates next year.

NIOS states that If the student passes in practicals but fails in the theory of a subject,  his/her practical marks will be retained and he/she can appear again ONLY in theory papers in on demand. 

If you are still confused visit your the nearest NIOS branch to get your queries resolved
