SKUAST Jammu has a total intake of 176. Candidates are offered seat in BSc (Hons) based on SKUSAT-J CET score. Selected aspirants need to participate in SKUAST Counselling round. Candidates need to bring the specified documents for verification. Once the seat is allotted, aspirants have to pay a course fee to confirm their seat in the university.

Sher-e-Kashmir University of Agricultural Sciences and Technology (SKUAST) Jammu usually releases the application form in May. The application closes by June. SKUAST also opens the correct window for submitted application form in the first week of June. Aspirants can apply online once the portal opens for the preferred course.

SKUAST Jammu does not offer direct admission. Aspirants first need to fill out the application form for the preferred course and then appear for SKUAST-J CET conducted by the university. SKUAST-J CET for UG courses is offered for a duration of three-years. For PG courses, the duration is two and a half year. Once the selection round is completed, the university releases a category-wise merit list. Shortlisted aspirants have to pay a course fee to confirm their seat in the university.

SKUAST BSc (Hons) admission 2024 is entrance-based for the academic year 2024. For Free seats and Self Financing seats (State Domicile), admissions are through:
- Common Entrance Test through SKUAST-Jammu
- ICAR quota through All India Counselling by ICAR after CUET
- On the nomination of in-service candidates through state government (only free seats)
- VCI quota through NEET and based on the list provided by the VCI through their counselling portal
For Self-Financing seats under NRIs/ NRI Sponsored/ All India Basis/ Wards of Serving Employees Categories, admissions are through the University itself based on merit in SKUAST-J CET and mar
