IUST accepts the scores of three entrance exams, namely CMAT, MAT and CUET PG for admission to its MBA and MBA -IB courses. For admission to the Integrated MBA course, the university accepts CUET UG scores. These entrance exams are conducted by respective conducting authorities and there exam schedules vary yearly. The tentative timelines for these exams are as follows:
- CMAT: January - May
- MAT: February, May, September and December
- CUET PG: March - April
- CUET UG: May - June

IUST Awantipora has not yet released the official report on MBA placements for 2024. However, the university's NIRF report 2024 contains the median pacakge offerd to MBA students in 2023, which was INR 5 LPA. In 2022, 58 MBA students were placed during Islamic University of Science and Technology MBA placements. Top recruiters of the university include ICICI, Capgemini, KPMG, etc. As per the IUST reviews available on Shiksha.com, the salary package offered during MBA (International Business) placements ranges from INR 3.5 LPA to INR 7 LPA.

As per the available information, there is no provision for direct admission to the MBA programme of IUST Awantipora. Admission is granted to applicants who fulfil the preset eligibility and selection criteria. Only the candidates who have passed Graduation (Class 12 in the case of Integrated MBA programme) with the minimum required aggregate are eligible for admission.

Yes, a full-time MBA is available at Islamic University of Science and Technology. It is a two-year programme offered at the PG level. Candidates can choose between an MBA and an MBA in International Business. The university also offers a five-year Integrated MBA programme to candidates who have completed Class 12. Candidates seeking BA admission at IUST must necessarily meet the course-specific eligibility criteria specified by the university. The eligibility criteria depend on the choice of specialisation. The course-wise eligibility requirements for BA admission at the university are as follows:
- Candidates seeking admission to a BA in Journalism & Mass Communication must have scored at least 50% in Class 12 from a recognised board
