Yes, there is a practical training. It is a part of third year curriculum of the course. The training includes 230 hours Flight Training, 200 hours on Aircraft and 30 hours on Approved Flight Simulator. Other than this, some major subjects in the course are Air Regulation, Navigation, Jet Oriented Training, Safety Management System (SMS), etc.

Seats are allocated on the basis of merit scores of last qualifying exam. All candidates have to fill an application form on the official website of institute. The institute shortlists students on the basis of merit scores. Selected students have to pay some fee to confirm their admissions.
