The following qualifying requirements must be fulfilled by applicants to be admitted to undergraduate (UG) programs at Gargi Memorial Institute of Technology (GMIT), Baruipur, Kolkata:

 Fourth-year B.Tech programs

 A minimum of 45% in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics must be earned in order to be eligible.
 JEE Main or WBJEE are accepted entrance exams. 

 Second-Year Lateral Entry:

 A valid engineering Diploma with at least 45% of the possible points is required.
 Admissions are made based on seat availability and merit. 

 There are currently no postgraduate (PG) courses offered by GMIT.

A private engineering college, Gargi Memorial Institute of Technology (GMIT) is situated in Baruipur, Kolkata, West Bengal.  GMIT was founded in 2011 by the Mallabhum Human Resources Development Trust and provides undergraduate B.Tech programs in a number of fields.  It has been accredited by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) and is associated with Maulana Abul Kalam Azad University of Technology (MAKAUT).

Unless the Institute of Hotel Management (IHM) offers a particular pathway or conversion course, a sociology honours graduate with a BE (Bachelor of Engineering) degree is probably not directly eligible for an M.Sc. (Master of Science) programme in Hotel Management or any related field.  A bachelor's degree in a related field, like hospitality and hotel administration, is required for the majority of IHM M.Sc. programs.

The cutoff for B.Com (Hons) at Goenka College of Commerce and Business Administration for General category students in 2023 was approximately between 91% and 93% in aggregate marks at the 10+2 level.

As the exam is scheduled on April 27, 2025, the date of the WBJEE 2025 result for admissions to MCKV Institute of Engineering is expected to be announced in June 2025.  Results, comprising scores and ranks, will be published online by the West Bengal Joint Entrance Examinations Board (WBJEEB) at wbjeeb.nic.in the form of a rank card. Counseling will start in July 2025, and candidates may see their results by using their application number and password.

Direct admission is possible to B.Tech courses of MCKV Institute of Engineering under management quota, which holds 10% of seats. Eligibility has to be fulfilled by candidates: 10+2 with Physics, Mathematics, and Chemistry/Biotechnology/Biology/Computer Science, securing at least 45% marks (40% for SC/ST/OBC/PwD). A valid score in WBJEE or JEE Main is required. Eligible students can meet the college admission cell or come to the campus for the seat booking and further details.
