Jiwaji University admissions for BSc course is merit-based. Students need to fulfil the eligibility criteria for admissions. The eligibility criteria is that candidate should have passed Class 12 with a minimum of 50% aggregate with the compulsory subject as mentioned by the schools offering the respective programme. Candidates who get admission to the BA or BA (Hons) programme offered at Jiwaji University are required to submit the following documents during the time of admission as mentioned below:
- Copy of counselling registration form
- Marksheets of Class 10 and, Class 12
- Caste Certificate
- the latest income certificate for reserved category candidates

If any candidate leaves the programme or desires to cancel his/ her admission before the last date of admission, the fee will be returned to him/her after deducting 10% of the admission fees deposited. Only caution money will be refunded if a candidate leaves the programme after the said date.
In case where candidates have given an undertaking to the effect that their admission may be cancelled in case they fail to produce their result of qualifying exam with required eligibility percentages by the last date of admission, they will not get any refund of admission fee except the caution money.

Reservation of seats in BA course offered by the Jiwaji University will be in accordance with the policy of Madhya Pradesh Government. The benefit of reservation will be available, only to the domiciles category candidates of Madhya Pradesh. Two extra seats will be created in BA course for the following:
- One seat for wards of regular teachers and officers of the University
- One seat for wards of regular Class III and Class IV employees of the University
- If any reserved category candidate gets placed in general/ open list in merit then the seat in reserved category will be unaffected but if applicant belongs to the category such as Fre

Jiwaji University BA application fees of INR 1,000 (INR 800 for SC/ ST/ OBC category candidates) together with INR 200 registration per subject has to be paid through MP Online. For every course, the registration fee of INR 200 per course/ subject has to be paid along with the application fees of INR 1,000 at the kiosk centre.
