Vidyavardhini's College of Engineering and Technology selection criteria is mainly entrance-based. The college admits students on the basis of valid scores obtained in either the national or state-level entrance tests, such as JEE Main, MHT CET, CAT, MAT, etc. The seat allotment is done through CAP. The cutoff for MH CET are based on the candidates categories. Gen- EWS students require a percentile of 75-76 whereas Obc- ncl candidates require around 73-74 while for SC students the requirement is 51-52 and for ST students 37 - 38 to secure admission.

The faculty members at the college are well qualified and experienced. The staff is supportive and knowledgeable . The quality and method of teaching are very nice and effective with focus on both practical as well as theoretical aspects. Overall the faculty is nice and helpful not just in teaching but also in fields releted to internships, projects and career.
