KCET, COMEDK UGET, and JEE Main are the three main exams accepted by private BTech colleges in Mysore, with some colleges also offering direct admission based on Class 12 marks.
Higher scores in JEE Main or KCET, or 90%+ in Class 12 boards, can fetch merit-based fee waivers and scholarships at most private colleges.

JoSAA Counselling is for government/NIT/IIT-level colleges, you need a JEE Main/Advanced score, seats are allotted by the government, fees are lower, and the process is centralized and merit-based.
Direct Private Admission is for private colleges like NIE, JSS, or VVCE Mysore done through KCET or COMEDK scores, or even directly based on Class 12 marks via management quota, with higher fees but a more flexible and faster admission process.
