The selection of the candidates for admission to the PGDM- Energy Management and PGDM-Executive (self-sponsored) at NTPC School of Business is a two-step process.

• In the first step, candidates are short-listed for Personal Assessment (PA) from among the candidates who applied to the programme and who satisfy the eligibility criteria for the programme.

• The next step of final selection is based on the merit of Final Composite Scores (FCS). The more detail about the computation of the scores and selection process is as follows.For both PGDM (Energy Management) and self-sponsored PGDM (Executive) programme, the candidates are shortlisted for the Personal Assessment (PA) based on of the Composite Score (CS). The Composite Score (CS) is calculated by computing CAT / XAT / GMAT/ OTHER MANAGEMENT SCORE, Academic Performance (Xth, XIIth, Graduation), and diversity factors (both Academic Diversity & Gender Diversity). The applicants shortlisted for Personal Assessment (PA) on the basis of CS. The cut-off for shortlisting candidates Personal Assessment (PA) is decided by NSB.

• The Final selection is based on Final Composite Scores (FCS) that is calculated by using CS, Work Experience and PA scores.

Both Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies Indore and Amity Noida have good placement records. However, it is difficult to make a direct comparison between the two institutes as the placement packages may vary depending on various factors such as the course, the industry, the job profile, and the performance of the student. According to the latest placement reports, the average package offered at NMIMS Indore for the year 2023 is INR 11.14 LPA, and the highest package offered during NMIMS Indore placements 2023 stood at INR 15.38 LPA. On the other hand, Amity University is known for its MBA program, and the institute has a good placement record. Both the colleges have strived after excellence in various streams as both have an accreditation to NAAC and NBA with an approval by AICTE. The Noida branch had a better ranking in NIRF while the Lucknow branch toppled it in top private B schools.  Even the Lucknow branch is older than Noida one, as it was established in 1995 and from my research experience it is evident that the older the college is the better stabled infra it provides. But if you are looking for a college with better exposure then Jaipuria institute of Noida is better as many prestigious colleges like Galgotia, Amity, Sharda and so on are present near it. Both the colleges provide a decent package and genuine placements hence they stand neck to neck.
