It is of course new NIT at Puducherry. But, there is really lots of things special in new ones (NITs) and the things you may never get anywhere else. Small institution so the opportunities are extremely high when compared to any other old NITs. I have to mention that faculty is highly knowledgeable. The best known fact everyone is aware of, is that since the beginning of NIT Puducherry there has been 0% ragging which is completely opposite of any other Institute in India. Since NIT Puducherry has been built up recently, the infrastructure being developed is constructed better than any other existing NIT. The classrooms and offices have been built up with the help of the latest technologies and designers which is extremely modern as compared to any other NIT at the moment. All the best.

The eligibility criteria of M.P.Ed. course and other details are given below for Pondicherry University.
Eligibility criteria : Bachelor of Physical Education (B.P.Ed.) or equivalent with at least 50% marks. OR Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) in Health and Physical Education with at least 50% marks.
Admission procedure : Admission shall be made on merit on the basis of marks obtained in the entrance examination and Physical Fitness & Game Proficiency Test as follows:
a) For women : 100 meters Shot-put (8 lbs) 8 minutes run/ walk
b) Games Proficiency Test in any one of the following games: Badminton, Basketball, Cricket, Football, Handball, Hockey, Kabaddi, Kho-Kho, Tennis and Volleyball.
c) Entrance exam: Theory: 50 marks. (objective type)
(a and b) Maximum: 50 marks.
The total intake for this program in 45. Because you have completed B.A. and certificate course in physical education. So you might be not eligible for this program.
