NIT Puducherry offers admissions to the courses on the basis of both, merit and entrance scores. The institute requires entrance exam including JEE Main, IIT JAM, GATE, and DASA UG to offer admission to the courses. To get admission, candidates are required to fulfil the course-specific eligibility laid by the institute.

Students who successfully pass the examination will be required to attend the PU CET (UG) 2026 counselling process after the test. Every candidate is required to be present at the counselling in person, and have all necessary documents ready. 

The PU CET (UG) 2026 counselling process is likely to begin in the second week of June 2026. 

The Pondicherry University AYUSH 2025 was published for all rounds and categories for admission to the BAMS course. For the General AI category, the cutoff range was in the range of 68127 to 66891, according to the first and last round cutoff ranks. For other categories, students can look at the table below: 

The Pondicherry University NEET PG Cutoff 2025 was released for admission to the PG-level medical courses for all categories under the All India quota. According to the cutoff in round 2 for the General AI category, the range was 28581 to 55775. Among all the courses, the MD in Microbiology was the least preferred course. The Pondicherry University CUET UG cutoff 2024 was released for all categories under the All India category for admission to various UG and PG level courses. The cutoff was released in the form of opening and closing scores. 

For the OBC AI quota, the last round cutoff range was between 3 and 257, wherein the hardest and the easiest courses for enrolment were B.Sc. The PU CET (UG) 2026 Biotechnology key subjects are physics, chemistry, biology and mathematics with questions based on CBSE class 11 & 12 syllabus, focusing on core concepts in genetics, cell biology, botany, zoology, thermodynamics, electrodynamics, calculus, organic chemistry etc.

The Panjab University entrance test for undergraduate programs like BSC (Hons) Biotechnology, testing 10+2 level physics, chemistry, biology and mathematics, and English.

There will be negative marking in the exam; 0.25 marks will be deducted for each incorrect answer.
