To check the NEET SS merit list for admission to the NIMS University, students have to first appear for the exam, attain valid ranks and then go to the official NEET exam website to check the merit list. Students have to visit the official NEET exam website handled by NBEMS to access the merit list.

The list is declared in the form of a PDF file containing roll numbers and marks for the chosen specific speciality group. Only those students are eligible for admission who have attempted the accepted exam and their name is the merit list.

No, you cannot join NIMS University without an entrance examination if you want admission to the DM and MCh programmes. Students have to appear for the NEET SS exam, attain valid ranks, sit in the counselling process, report to the allocated college (If any) and then be eligible for enrolment.

Students should know that the cutoff gets released in the form of opening and closing ranks for various All India categories. Till now,   the cutoff has only been announced for round 1, with the ranks ranging from 241 to 4780 for the General AI category.

No, you cannot get into NIMS University with a 70000 rank in NEET SS if you belong to the General AI category. For this category, the NIMS University NEET SS cutoff 2025 ranged from 241 to 4780. Hence, candidates need to attain a rank of at least 4780 in round 1 to be eligible for admission.

This is the cutoff for round 1, maybe in the later rounds, the cutoff rank increased for this category.

Note -  This is the cutoff for the General AI category for the first round, for more details, students can refer to this page

You've got solid options ,so let's keep it simple and real.

Top pick (overall):
👉 Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee (Biotech) or Indian Institute of Technology Ropar (Mechanical)
IIT tag + exposure + long-term value is hard to beat.

If you're 100% sure about coding/tech:
👉 LNM Institute of Information Technology (CSE) is a very strong choice
👉 IIIT (like Indian Institute of Information Technology, Kancheepuram) also good, but check dual degree commitment

About Thapar:
👉 Thapar Institute of Engineering and Technology (CSE) is good, but in your case, your other options are stronger

Simple decision:

  • Want IIT brand + flexibility →
