JVWU conducts Joint National Entrance Examination for admission to various UG, PG and Diploma courses. The exam is held in online mode usually in May-June. JNEE question paper includes a total of 100 objective type questions (20 G.K. Questions and 80 subject related aptitude Questions) which is to be performed in 1 hours 30 minutes. Besides, admission in BAMS and BHMS programme is through NEET score.

JVWU admissions are offered through four modes. One is through direct admission based on the merit of the candidates in the last qualifying exam. Others is via University Entrance cum Scholarship Exam (JNEE) or scholarship exam. Aspirants can also get admission via Management Quota. Candidates applying via Management Quota are evaluated based on their past academic records.
