In the academic year 2024-25, GIET University, situated in Gunupur, Odisha, will begin its application process from April 2024, concluding in June 2024. During the period from January to May 2024, various entrance exams like JEE Main, OJEE, CAT, MAT, XAT, etc., will be conducted for admission to engineering, management, and computer application courses.

Following the exams, the counselling and seat allocation process, managed by exam authorities such as JOSAA and OJEEB, will take place from June to July 2024.

Candidates securing seats at GIET University are required to complete their admission process by reporting to the college with necessary documents and fees by August 2024.

Pratap University, Jaipur and JNIT Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, Hyderabad offers 4- year B.Tech courses with almost similar fee structure. Both the college offer excellent academic facilities, however, the only difference lies in the choice of courses offered. While Pratap University offers B.Tech in 5 specializations; Computer Science and Engineering, Electronic and Communication Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering and Civil Engineering, JNIT offers B.Tech in a number of specializations including Aeronautical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Computer Science and Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Information Technology, Mechanical Engineering and thirteen others. Students can make their choice depending on the area of specialisation they want to study.

The courses are undergraduate, post graduate, Diploma as well as Ph.D courses. There are different eligibility criteria for admissions to different courses and the entrance exam score accepted for undergraduate courses is class 12^th or equivalent, graduation or equivalent for post graduate courses, post- graduation/ Masters for Ph.D. and class 12^th or equivalent for Diploma courses. There are no other specific examinations mentioned for admissions.
