STEP 1: Periyar University Application Process 2025

Candidates must fill an online application form with all the relevant details along with paying an application fee and submit the form at the Head Office of Periyar University.

STEP 2: Periyar University Entrance Exam

There are different schools and departments in the university through which the courses are offered. Each department conducts an entrance test for UG/PG course admission. Candidates seeking admission have to appear for the test and score good marks to be eligible to take admission.

STEP 3: Selection Rounds

The seats are assigned to the qualified students depending on the preceding qualifying exam or the entrance examination. In other courses such as MBA, they are also required to have group discussions and personal interviews after the entrance test.

STEP 4: Payment of Admission Fee & Admission Confirmation

The shortlisted students have to pay the admission fees within the time prescribed by the university. Students must pay the fee on time to confirm their seats.

Yes, Periyar University conducted its department-wise entrance exam for multiple courses. For all the on-campus PG courses such as MBA, MA, MSc, MCom, etc., qualifying for the respective entrance exam is mandatory. Some of the courses are also taught at the "Periyar University Centre for Post-Graduate and Research Studies", admission to such courses is also done based on the entrance exam conducted by the respective centre. Peiyar University admissions 2023 for all UG and PG courses are open. Currently, the university is accepting the applications of candidates for all its courses. However, the last date has already been extended many times on the official website. As per the latest notification released on the official website of Periyar University, the last date of application has been extended from May 31 to June 15. This date is applicable for all the on-campus courses offered at the university's departments. Interested candidates may visit the official website and apply for the course of their choice before passing the deadline. 

Periyar University offers MBA course for a duration of two years. MBA (General) course is approved by AICTE. Apart from MBA (General) course, the university also offers MBA in Export Management. According to media reports, a total of 20 students of the Energy Science and Technology Department received a package of INR 3.6 LPA during Periyar University placements 2023. Apart from this, according to Periyar University NIRF report 2023, the median package offered during Periyar University PG 2-year placements 2022 stood at INR 3 LPA, respectively.
