Yes, UIT under Himachal Pradesh University offers full-tuition fee waiver to six candidates (3 to students with annual income less than INR 2.5 Lacs per annum, 2 to meritorious girls and 1 to Physically Challenged) in each Engineering branch as per AICTE norms. Further, all the physically challenged candidates are exempted from all kinds of fee whatsoever (except refundable security deposit).

HPNLU Shimla BA LLB (Hons) admission is done through CLAT exam. Thus, the aspirants are required to apply for the entrance examination. CLAT 2025 application form was released on Jul 15 and the last date to apply was Oct 15.

NLU Shimla offers admission to BA LLB (Hons) course based on merit in the CLAT exam. Candidates who have passed Class 12 with a 45% aggregate (40% for SC/ST) can apply. The eligible candidates can go to the CLAT official website to register and apply for the exam. After the entrance test, the cutoff marks are announced based on which students need to participate in CLAT counselling. After seat allotment, the candidates need to report at HPNLU Shimla campus and pay admission fee for seat confirmation.

For admission under these categories, candidates are required to submit the relevant documents. Hence, the caste certificate issued by a competent authority can be asked for verification.

No, admission to law courses at NLUs is through CLAT only. The course aspirants must appear for the Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) and secure a good score. It is a pen and paper based test. There is no other provision for admission. Students who meet the cutoff mark have to take part in CLAT counselling for seat confirmation as well.
