Silchar does not have any good institute to pursue MBA. You need to come out of your comfort zone and look options in other part such as IIM-Shillong (need CAT percentile of 98% and above) or IIFT-Kolkata or other institutes in east India.

Hi Moshin,
According to your marks and category, it will be very tough for you to get any branch in NIT-Silchar. If you got 10-15 marks more then this, you will get some branch there. But with your HS category, you might get some preference. So wait tilll the last round.
All the best!

Job prospects are average in NIT as the chances are not that higher but still there are chances for placements.

Dear Prasenjit Deb,
NIT-Agartala is the best option when compare with Silchar. NIT-Agartala received (last year) 36 LPA, whereas Silchar received 9.5 LPA, you can prepare for NIT-Agartala.
All the best.

NIT-Agartala is a good option and has been a good brand with very good industry oriented faculty and curriculum. NIT-Silchar is bit new and nascent and hence, does not have an edge.
