The number of seats available in NBU varies every year however in 2023 this number was 60.

North Bengal University organized Bachelor Degree of minimum of 03 years duration obtained in any discipline (except Graduates inFine Arts or performing Arts) and scoring a minimum 50% marks (45% for reserved category candidates) from
a recognised University are eligible.
(ii) prefer6nce will be given to those candidates who have appeared and having valid scores (from November
2020 to August 2021) in any of the Entrance Tests i.e. CAT, XAT, CMAT, ATMA, MAT, GMAT, JMET and
WBJEMAT.
(iii) lf, racant seats are still available, after the admission of the students mentioned in the point no. (ii) under
eligibility criteria, candidates are allowed to take admission on the basis of the marks obtained in their
Bachelor's degree and also as per the above point no' (i).
(iv) The Percentile obtained by a candidate in CAT/XAT/CMAT/ATMA/ MAT/ GMAT/JMET/WBJEMAT
shall be converted into percentage as per University norms.
(v) AICTE, Central & State government norms are applicable.

Admission procedure of MBA in North Bengal University-

1. andidates are required to complete a Bachelor’s degree of minimum 3 years’ duration in any discipline (except performing and fine arts) from a recognised Indian University or Foreign University (As per University Norms) with a minimum of 50% of marks in aggregate (5% relaxation will be given to the reserved category candidates).
2. Final year students awaiting results may also apply, nevertheless, their admission will be treated as purely provisional. Before the commencement of the first semester examination they have to obtain the requisite qualification as stated in point (1), otherwise their candidature may stand cancelled.
3. Candidates fulfilling the above mentioned eligibility need to appear for the Entrance Test (100 marks) i.e. NBUMAT & score minimum 50% (5% relaxation will be given to SC, ST, OBC candidates), conducted by the Department of Management, University of North Bengal. Candidates having valid scores of CAT / XAT / MAT / CMAT / GMAT / ATMA / WBJEMAT are however exempted from appearing in the aforementioned Entrance Test.
4. Qualified candidates of NBUMAT and candidates having valid scores of CAT / XAT / MAT / CMAT / GMAT / ATMA / WBJEMAT entrance tests as stated in point 3 will appear for the final selection process. The final selection process will comprise Group Discussion (GD: 25 marks), Personal Interview (PI: 25 marks), Essay Writing (25 marks) & Extempore (25 marks).
5. The final merit list will be prepared on the basis of marks scored in GD, PI, Essay Writing & Extempore by the candidates. Any tie on the score sheet may be resolved by considering the score up to three places after the decimal point.

The main endeavour of the Training and Placement Cell of University of North Bengal is to get students placed in reputed multinationals, government Organisations, NGO's and the private sector. In near future this cell also will take different initiatives to assist the students in pursuing higher degrees. All students registered with NBU will be provided placement assistance, counselling for employment and guidance for self/social entrepreneurship. The Training and Placement Cell also assures logistic support to the visiting companies at every stage of the placement process by making university infrastructure available to them. Our institution will act as an interface between the industry and the students, and will primarily enable the students to select from their career options. They will also arrange lectures and workshops on various topics like resume buildings, skill development and prospect in various industries for registered students. We shall facilitate the selection process of all the companies as per their requirement. University will liaison with corporate organizations to provide suitable jobs and internship for the candidates completing their studies from the University of North Bengal. The institution also conducts seminars and workshops to enable the students of University of North Bengal to become successful professionals.
