Siliguri Institute of Technology commonly referred to by the acronym SIT is classified as a Second Tier Engineering Institute. It is said to be a good institution, with reasonable infrastructures, faculty members as well as placed students but not a standard university college. While SIT offers good placement among the companies which recruit B.Tech IT learners, it does not ensure the application of 100% placement. As per to the information available on the website, B.Tech IT placement percentage is nearly 90-95%. Top recruiters include:
