No, direct admission is not applicable for M.Ed at Kashmir University. Candidates must appear and qualify for KUET entrance exam, which is conudcted by the university for admission to all its PG courses. To appear for this exam, candidates must fill a registration form on the official website of the university and appear for the exam as per the defined timeline.

Candidates seeking for admission to M.Ed at Kashmir University must fulfil all the educational requirements of the university. As per the minimum eligibility criteria, candidates must pass graduation in B.Ed with minimum 55% aggregate (50% aggregate for reserved category) along with having minimum three years of teaching experience in a recognised Educational Institute are eligible to apply.

Further, in case of experience at school level, the certificate should be signed by the concerned chief Education Officer. However, in case of college teachers, it should be signed by Dean College Development Council, University of Kashmir.

To get admission to M.Ed course at Kashmir University, candidates must fulfil the minimum eligibility criteria in the first place. Candidates gradutaed with B.Ed and having a valid work experience are eligible to apply for M.Ed course at Kashmir University. The final admission to this course is offered based on candidates' performance in Kashmir University Entrance Test. On the basis of NIRF ranking, NIT is better. The rankings are 82 and 151 for NIT Srinagar and IUST respectively. The facilities provided by NIT Srinagar are better than IUST. Apart from the B.Tech and M.Tech courses, NIT Srinagar offers MSc, MBA and PhD programmes across various specialisations.

Whereas IUST offers UG, PG, Diploma and PhD-level programs such as BTech, BSc, BA, BVoc, MTech, MSc, MA, MBA, MCA, etc.under its schools of Sciences, Engineering and Technology, Humanities and Social Sciences and Business Studies.
