Both of these are good colleges for doing engineering. Both are competitive with each other and are equal. If you consider education, placements and rankings, both will almost be the same. But SASTRA University has its own syllabus and curriculum as it is a deemed university, therefore, preferring SASTRA over SSN is of high interest. So you can prefer any one of these for engineering. The only thing is that SSN comes under Anna University, so the syllabus will be the same for all the affiliated colleges. Both ECE and EEE are highly demanded courses at Sastra University after CSE. Hence it depends on your interest to choose between the two. Sastra University has good infrastructure, faculty, training and placements for both of the branches.

Although chances of getting Computer Science Engineering is low, but it must be your first preference at the time of counselling. Your preference should be like computer science engineering, information technology, electronics engineering, electrical, civil, mechanical etc. In the first round, she will get information technology, then in second or third round, she might get computer science engineering, if she is lucky enough.
Best of luck.
