Periyar Maniammai Institute of Science & Technology offers scholarships to Students based upon various criteria to further their education
Scholarships for each candidate will be decided based on the marks scored in 12th standard and in JEE or equivalent or PMIST Entrance Test for B.Tech programmes (Up to Rs.1,80,000). Your HSC board scores and JEE Main scores are used to determine your admission status on SASTRA. Different allotments (quotas) exist, such as Thanjavur. Tamil Nadu, Trichy at large. Aerospace will consider anything above 1100 to be good, whereas seats for Stream 1 admissions will be easy to secure if you meet both the HSC and JEE cut-off points. (The Sastra website explains the admissions processes for Streams 1 and 2.)

The fee for a B.Tech at PRIST University ranges from 90,000 INR to 2,01,000 INR per year, depending on the specialization chosen.
- The duration of the B.Tech course at PRIST University is 4 years.
- To be eligible for the B.Tech program, candidates must have completed their 10+2 education with PCM as compulsory subjects, securing a minimum aggregate score of 50%.

PRIST University is a Tier 2 college. It is one of the top universities in Tamil Nadu offering B.Tech. The courses are somewhat more expensive than other universities. The placement opportunities are also less. The fee for the tuition for B.Tech at the university is 1 Lakh, per sem. The average package offered was INR 4 LPA which is not a good ROI.

Placements at Chandigarh University are better than PRIST University. The B.Tech placements at PRIST is INR 3.65 LPA to 4 LPA.
However, the B.Tech placements are very high at CU. The highest package offered was INR 150 LPA and 54.6 LPA for international and Domestic processes. The average package still remains at INR 20 LPA. Microsoft, Google, Amazon, IBM, Arcesium, Adobe, Deloitte, Morgan Stanley, Qualcomm, Philips, Goldman Sachs, Toshiba, etc are the top recruiters of the university.

PRIST University has a good placement record. According to reports more than 80% of students get placed every year. Wipro, Capgemini, Mahindra, TCS, and Sunpharma were the top recruiters who participated in the placement drives. The university has a separate Training Placement cell which provides students help to secure job opportunities. The highest package offered was INR 6.5 LPA, and the minimum package was around INR 1.2 LPA.
