According to some unofficial sources, acceptance rate of Heriot Watt University Uk campus is around 60% which make it less competitive for the students. Meanwhile Acceptance rate of Heriot Watt University Dubai campus is approximately 24%, making it extremely competitive to get admission.

Students are eligible for a merit based scholarship based on their grades. Higher the grades, higher will be the amount of scholarship. This may vary for different levels such as degree programme and honors programme follow same criteria whereas undergraduate programs may have different requirements.

Yes, Bollywood actress Sonam Kapoor did attend UEL London. She pursued a UG degree in Economics and Politics. However, she left her studies midway to pursue a career in acting. Sonam acted in several hit movies and won a Critics' Choice Award, a Viewer's Choice Award & earned an IIFA Award nomination for her movie Neerja.

The University of East London acceptance rate of 72%, makes it somewhat selective at picking students for admissions to its courses.
